In Ucam, standard password-username logins are thrown out and replaced in favor of your 256-bit “Private Key”. This Private Key is completely unique, and unlike a password, it is impossible to guess. The number of possible private keys is 2^256 which is 115,792,089,237,316,195,423,570,985,008,687,907,853,269,984,665,640,564,039,457,584,007,913,129,639,936 combinations (that’s 78 digits. Yes, we counted). The fastest supercomputer in the world would take millions of years to crack your private key.
The other benefit of blockchain-issued private keys is nobody can see them (including us) and you don’t need to identify yourself with an email address. In the future, the benefit of using a private key will become even clearer.
